The European Commission approved the project LIFE IAS_SK

On June 1, 2025, the project entitled “Protection of Bird Populations in Special Protected Areas through control and eradication of Invasive Animal Species in Slovakia  LIFE24-NAT-SK-LIFE IAS_SK with code 101215398″ will start, which was supported by the European Commission under the LIFE program. The aim of the project is to stop the spread of 4 invasive animal species – American mink, Raccoom dog, Raccoon and Coypu – in 13 SPAs in Slovakia. The aim is to ensure the protection of 17 target bird species in SPAs. The project is implemented by the Slovak Ornithological Society/BirdLife Slovakia, the Slovak Hunters´ Chambe and the Capital City of the Slovak Republic Bratislava. More about the LIFE IAS PROJECT
